Like Yourself, And Don't Worry About 'Them'

This week I appeared on BBC1’s new singing contest ‘All Together Now’.

Not everyone liked me, my singing or my interpretation, least of all Geri Halliwell. In fact it made her cringe.

But did this phase me?

Did this upset me?

Did this bother me?

Of course not! Because I have spent the last ten years building, remembering and harnessing my confidence, self-appreciation and self-belief. The words or thoughts of another no longer govern how I think or feel about myself.

People decide if they like you or not within 3 seconds. And probably even less.

Whether somebody likes you or not actually has very little, if anything at all, to do with you. It is all to do with their perception and interpretation of you.

There’s very little you can do about that.

So have only one goal…

TO LIKE YOURSELF.

Watch my performance below and make your own mind up… and remember, it doesn’t matter what you think of me, it only matters what I think of me.
